Cleveland Clinic stated that some people are unaware of the chemical pregnancy. Most people who experience them go on to have healthy pregnancies. Chemical pregnancy is a pregnancy loss that happens before the fifth week. Testing positive on a pregnancy test only to get a negative result a few weeks later can signal a chemical pregnancy. 

A chemical pregnancy is a very early miscarriage that happens before the fifth week. Many people may not even realize they were pregnant. It shows up as a faint positive test, but then leads to a period soon after. It can be emotional, even if brief, and it is okay to seek support if you're feeling confused or sad.
